This is a trip that is local and easily accessible for those who are sticking around Kzoo. We’ll be focused on being the “everyday church” by having time to pursue the Lord together, share meals, serve in our local community and explore Kalamazoo fun.

The focus of this trip is rest and growing in your relationship with God through time in the Bible and time with others. This trip will leave on Friday to break up the drive over two days and will return on Saturday.

How will I get there?
The Kalamazoo trip will help with carpooling around town. For our destination trips all participants will travel together to our destination in a carpool caravan. Rides will be organized by H2O Staff and volunteers. It’s about 10 hours to Memphis and about 15 hours to Seaside.
Will I have to chip in for gas?
For Kalamazoo, we plan to have fuel costs be minimum. For our other trips all fuel prices will be covered in the cost. (Drivers may need to cover the gas upfront, but they will be reimbursed fully upon return.)
What will I eat during the week?
The Kalamazoo trip will have some meals covered and some on your own during the week. Memphis and Seaside will have all meals at the location will be coordinated and covered in the cost. (Meals during the travel to and from the trip will not be included.)
We recognize that the pandemic changes our approach to travel, and so this information is subject to change depending on the status of the pandemic in the spring. If we are forced to cancel the trips, or you are unable to go because of the following protocols, you will receive a full refund!
Covid-19 Trip Protocols:
All people going on the trip must have a negative covid test within 72hrs of departure.
- Our Destination Trips require vaccination (although requests for exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis)
All people going on the trip need to be symptom free before departure.
If a person tests positive prior to leaving for the trip, or if they have symptoms and can’t go, they will receive a full refund.
Masks will be optional when at the living spaces of the trips, or in cars with other trip participants. (The Kalamazoo trip may require masks during all meeting times depending on locations)
Masks will be required when people on the trip are in an indoor public place outside of the living area of the trip (even if masks are optional indoors in that part of the country, we will require that all people on the spring break trip wear a mask indoors when not at the living space or the trip or in a vehicle with only trip participants).
Everyone who registers for a trip will be asked to sign a COVID-19 waiver acknowledging the risk that they take when participating in a spring break trip.
If someone contracts COVID-19 while on a H2O Church – Kalamazoo spring break trip, they will need to be isolated from the rest of the trip. The trip leaders will help find a place for isolation to occur as well as help the individual(s) find a way to return home when it is safe to do so. Individuals that share a room with the person that tested positive and have been in close contact with that person will need to take a COVID-19 test (which will be provided to them by trip leaders).
Trip leaders will have rapid tests on hand for trip participants to use if they develop symptoms, are exposed, etc.
