Having grown up in a spiritually tumultuous and confusing home, I arrived at college not knowing what I believed and not caring too much to figure it out. However, I quickly realized that the things I had always depended on for my hope and my worth could no longer carry me. During my freshman year, my grades were lower than they had ever been, I had a terrible time making friends, and my high school relationship became emotionally harmful & unsafe. It felt like all my foundations had crumbled beneath me, and I needed somewhere to turn. I came to Christ in the fall of my sophomore year through a campus ministry. My life was completely transformed, and my heart was stirred for the thousands of college students around me who hadn’t experienced the fullness of life in Christ. Upon graduating in 2017, I decided to pursue full-time ministry. In May 2018, I married my husband Trevor, and we moved to Kalamazoo to help start H2O Church on campus at Western Michigan University. I serve in our women’s ministry at H2O and love to see young women’s hearts transformed by the incredible love of our Savior. I also serve our church in an administrative role and lead our volunteer hospitality ministry. It is a gift and a great joy to be on the front lines of God’s movement on the college campus.
